General Photography Questions

How will I receive my photos?

Your photographer will send you an email with a link to your online gallery. The email will also contain instructions on how to order directly from your gallery.

How long will it take to receive my photos?

All sessions usually take up to 2.5 weeks to edit and send out.. Always make sure to ask your photographer what the turnaround time is if you want a more specific answer during that time.

What happens if you get sick or injured?

We very rarely ever get sick, but if we do then we will simply reschedule our session in a timely manner depending on which session you’ve booked. If any of our photographers won’t be able to reschedule in a timely manner then we will be more than happen to recommend you to a photographer with the same skill set. The only way we couldn’t photograph a session due to injury is if we wouldn’t be able to pick up our camera or if our legs/feet are broken, and that would be a very extreme situation. If that does happen, then we’ll make it aware that we have suffered an injury and wouldn’t be available during that time.

What if I need to reschedule/cancel my session?

We completely understand that certain things may come up that may cause you to reschedule your session. Hopefully, we can reschedule your session in a timely manner and can move on from there. Our goal is to always try to work something out where you wouldn’t have to cancel your session, but if it’s unavoidable please know that the $50 deposit fee is non-refundable.

How many photos will I get?

We don’t give out a certain amount of photos for any of our sessions, but we ALWAYS make sure to select that best of the best of your photos from the session.

Do you instruct for posing? I’m awkward and don’t know what to do with my hands.

Absolutely! Our goal during your session is to make you feel 100% comfortable with not only how you look, but how you feel.

Newborn Session Questions

When is the best time to schedule my newborn session?

The best time to photograph newborns is when they’re between 5-10 days old. This is when they’re the most flexible and most likely to sleep soundly through the session. Amelia typically schedules newborn sessions during the weekends, but she’s open a couple of days during the week.

How long does a newborn session take?

Newborn sessions can typically last anywhere from 1-5 hours. They never usually last 5 hours, but we add that time frame to include a little wiggle room for extra feedings, diaper changes, and soothing breaks.

Are sibling and/or family photos included in newborn sessions?

Sibling and/or family photos are included in Full and Mini newborn sessions.

Where do I come for my studio newborn session?

Amelia has a studio located in her home in Rock Hill, SC for all clients closer to that area. She also has a studio located in downtown Wilkesboro, NC.

Do you have safety training with handling newborns?

Amelia is our newborn photographer and she’s had multiple years of experience with safety training. She worked with another photography studio before opening A. June Photography and was able to observe newborn sessions there as well as watch many training videos on newborn safety. Amelia has 5 years of newborn photography experience, so she’s very experienced and trustworthy.

Do I need to bring anything to my session?

If family photos are included with your session all I ask is that you bring a white or black shirt to wear for photos.

If a sibling will be coming I ask that you bring a white or black shirt and a pair of jeans.

Do you provide all the props/outfits?

Absolutely! We’re continuously building our inventory of outfits, wraps, and props. You’re more than welcome to bring anything you’d like to use during the session as well.

Do you offer Maternity + Newborn Session Plans?

Yes! We have a Belly to Baby Plan. You can find more information about that plan on our pricing guide.

Will I be able to share my photos on Facebook?

We usually post a sneak peek from your session on our facebook page the day of or day after with our watermark on it for sharing. Since all sessions include a digital download - you’ll also receive photos without our watermark that you’re more than welcome to post on social media. We just ask that you make sure to tag us in them and give us photo credit.
